Oral Hygiene
It's the goal of our hygiene department to help you achieve optimum oral health. That's why, along with your regularly scheduled dental checkups, you are also scheduled for regular dental hygiene appointments. The frequency of these appointments will be determined by your dentist and dental hygienist. At your hygiene maintenance appointment, your dental hygienist will update your medical history, take any necessary x-rays, remove the build up of tarter above and below the gum line, and polish your teeth.
In addition to the meticulous cleaning, polishing, and examination of your teeth, your hygienist will also evaluate your hygiene techniques and habits and may suggest adjustments to your routine where needed.
